Morgan brought both her fiancé Jonathan and her beautiful dog to their engagement shoot! The four of us spent some time in the park at the end of a gorgeous day, and the fading sky just after sunset gave us beautifully soft, subdued light.
Morgan & Jonathan were a blast to photograph—up for anything and so in love with each other. I love seeing their personalities come out in theses images. I know their wedding is going to be gorgeous, so Sara and I can’t wait to shoot it. March is just around the corner!

So our little girl is already 4 months old!! We had Amber Holritz here again for our second shoot of Ella’s first year and are so in love with her images!
Ella is a serious little girl. We can get her to smile if we work at it, but generally she’s very serious about things. We’ve enjoyed seeing her grow up, take in everything around her, and grow in our hearts by leaps and bounds.

To the Beach!
Who’s up for a vacation?!? We were however with a newborn, even a trip to the beach is work. :)
This week we headed to Gulf Shores, AL with my whole family and stayed in a house on the beach. My family lives all over the US so for us to all be together for a whole week in one place is a real treat. We have 3 nieces and 1 nephew on this side of our family and then of course our little one…so there was lots of playing, swimming, and fun to be had.
We had one evening where we hit the beach specifically for some pictures and after we got some more traditional family shots we relaxed and got some fantastic shots of the kids and families as themselves. I love these shots because the kids just got to be kids and we were able to capture so much of their personality on those shots.
We had a blast on our trip but were also glad to be back home.

We have the honor of having the wonderful Amber Holritz photograph our little Ella and document her first year. We had our first shoot and are so excited about the images. You can view the whole slideshow here.
Ella cried for a good part of her first shoot but Amber did a great job not only capturing how cute Ella is while she cries but also so many emotions we were all feeling despite her crying. This is a time in our lives when we are so happy, but also just trying to figure out her needs and struggling to do so. We love our little girl so much and feel so blessed that she’s a part of our lives.
A huge thank you to Amber for her beautiful style of photography and for her understanding and sweet friendship.
