We are Grant & Sara Dotson. As a husband and wife team, we bring a unique perspective to photography, one influenced by life experiences as well as comprehensive art and design training. Our cameras are an extension of not only our eyes, but our minds and hearts, instantly capturing moments and emotions just as they occur. We enjoy getting to know our clients on a personal level and helping them feel that they're a part of a partnership. Every client is different, and our photographs seek to reflect each individual personality for truly unforgettable memories.

Allison & Clark’s Engagement

Allison and Clark are a very special couple to us. This is the third time that we’ve photographed Allison…we did her senior pictures and a family session with her two sisters. Now she is engaged and we are just so happy for her. We met Clark for the first time at this shoot and right off the bat we thought they were a perfect match!

We were in Memphis for this shoot and it was really fun to be in a new environment. Allison and Clark met at The University of Memphis and since they’ve spent most of their dating life there they decided they wanted thier pictures on campus. The weather was perfect, they were a lot of fun, and everything about this shoot was just fantastic. We are so happy for them and are so excited about their wedding in January. When we were done on campus we stopped by a cotton field to wrap up the shoot. It was dark by the time we got there but got some cool shots and had a lot of fun!!

Meet Allison and Clark:

How did you meet?
Clark picked me up on his Tiger Patrol (pseudo campus security) golf cart late one night when I was walking back across campus to my car because I had forgot a bag of groceries in my car.

What is your ring like?
Beautiful , classic, and exactly what I wanted, and he even picked it out all by himself!

Describe your proposal.
AMAZING! He took me on a scavenger hunt that involved all our favorite places and hang outs in Memphis. After the last clue, Clark blindfolded me and led me to the spot where we hung out on our first date, and when I took the blind fold off, he was on a knee holding a ring! When he asked me to marry him, I, of course, said “Duh!”

Anything special you’d like to share about dating?
We pretty much knew right away that we were perfect for each other, and after 4 years of dating, we can’t wait to finally be married!

How would you describe the way you feel about each other?
We are perfect compliments for each other personalities. We bring out the fun in each other and we just really enjoy being together and always making each other laugh. We’re definitely best friends.

Do you have any special plans for your wedding that you’d like to share?
Our wedding is going to be a sweet, simple, and laid back celebration with our closet family and friends.
