It was such a treat shooting Cabray and Daniel on such a beautiful day!! We met up with them last Saturday and were so grateful that the weather cooperated. Even though a bit windy, it was fabulous to have such wonderful sunlight and warmer weather.
Cabray and Daniel have a sweet love story and an incredible engagement story! Daniel went all out to make his proposal special and unique. They have so much love and respect for each other and that was evident in every look…it made documenting that love easy and so much fun!
We enjoyed some beautiful sunlight in a field with tall grass and shooting at a log cabin. Cabray and Daniel have a lot of fun together, and I know they’ll have both a loving and fun marriage…what more could two people ask for!!
We want to thank both of you for allowing us to be a part of this time of your lives. We’re really looking forward to your wedding this summer!!

We truly enjoyed being a part of Morgan and Jonathan’s beautiful wedding! The weather was rainy but I don’t think anyone at this wedding noticed.
Morgan started the day with a luncheon that was really special. She had a charm cake for all the ladies in her wedding and had something special written for them all. After getting her hair and makeup done the ladies were off to the church and we were soon ready for some group photos. The weather kept us inside for those, but the church had an atrium with beautiful light and great wall and bench, which was fun to work with. Then the rain stopped long enough for us to get a few photos of Morgan in the prayer garden which was wonderful!!! She was so relaxed and happy, and we got some neat shots in this garden.
They had a short but beautiful ceremony, and then we had a few minutes to take Morgan and Jon to a nearby railroad. This was so fun! We don’t often get a chance to go to a cool spot like this with the couple so we had a blast shooting them. Morgan and Jonathan are so deeply in love, and were so happy to be man and wife…it was such a treat to be with them after their ceremony. Then we were off to an awesome reception at Trevitt Hall! I love shooting weddings here because the space looks great from any angle.
A big congratulations to the new couple, and thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your day!

What fun!! We are so excited to be a part of Fox 61’s I Do—Jimmy and Kimmi’s Dream Wedding. We got to meet the happy couple last week and shot their engagement photos in the Bluff View Art District.
The weather was perfect; Jimmy and Kimmi are so much fun to be around and it was just a great shoot. But it was very different than any other shoot we’ve done before. We wore microphones and had a television crew shooting us while we shot Jimmy and Kimmi. Not to mention having a makeup artist and hair stylist following us. Who doesn’t like someone at their beck and call to fix their makeup! Of course the makeup and hair was for the happy couple…not us. :)
We enjoyed getting to know Jimmy and Kimmi and are excited to shoot their wedding in April. There was no lack of laughter during the shoot which always makes for the best images. You can view their full slideshow here.
A huge congrats to the fun couple, best of luck as everything else for your dream wedding comes together!!

Recently I was asked to document the ceremony at green|spaces when they were awarded the first Commercial Platinum LEED Certification in the state of Tennessee. The people of green|spaces have incredible vision and their goal is to enable others in the area to build using the most eco-friendly materials and sustainable methods.
In their article announcing this certification, The Chattanoogan describes some of the creative techniques used to construct their offices:
The building itself, with few existing walls and an ideal orientation for daylighting, was essentially gutted during the project, with as much of the demolition material put to reuse, as possible. Innovative examples include large steel beam repurposed as a stair stringer and wood joists used as stair treads and miscellaneous framing. Scrap wood strips from a nearby millwork shop were constructed into a bookshelf. The building’s entry canopy was constructed from cedar timbers that were salvaged from a nearby barn, and building scraps from the entry canopy construction were then utilized to build the meeting tables for the space.
Mayors Littlefield and Ramsey spoke at the ceremony as did Senators Bo Watson and Andy Burke, who presented a joint resolution from the Tennessee Senate congratulating green|spaces for receiving this certification. Afterwards, Jeff Cannon and Anj McClain (green|spaces’ co-directors) thanked the large crowd in attendance for their support.
Congratulations, green|spaces on a well-deserved honor.
