This family is so special to us! We’ve known Savanna and her family since she was a teenager, and she’s watched our kids for years as we photographed other couple’s weddings. So we were so honored when she got engaged and asked us to photograph her own wedding. They were married at the amazing First Cumberland Presbyterian church in Chattanooga, and Ben clearly doted on his beautiful bride. It was such a treat to see them and their families come together and celebrate—and to see our own family celebrate, since our kids were guests at the reception too! Thanks again, Savanna and Ben, for inviting us to document your wedding. We hope you enjoy your photos!

As I write this, it’s been 8 months since our last blog post. Whoops! It’s not that we haven’t been busy…in fact, since then we’ve delivered 18,928 photos for 71 client projects ranging from California, Florida, and New Jersey to right here at home.

So where have we been? Well, I’ve always thought of updating the blog as something to do after we’ve finished all of our obligations to our clients. Looking back, that may not have been the best plan—after all, at the end of each project there’s another waiting to be started. But now that the lull of a new year has set in, it looks like a great time to share some of the fun we’ve been having.

So in the coming days and weeks, I’ll be posting highlights of those shoots that haven’t made it to the blog yet. I’m probably too far behind to get them all up, but Sara and I are excited to get up here as much as we can. (And going forward, I’ll be making a point to share what we’re doing in something close to real time!)

Ashley and Noah’s wedding can only be described with one word. Fabulous. But I’m going to use more words too…:) It was so spectacularly beautiful, classic but unique, and full of the love and joy of a couple who will spend the rest of their lives together. Their wedding and reception was at the Hunter Museum and Soirées coordinated this spectacular event. We loved the vision of the couple who like the abstract and the unexpected.

A  huge congratulations to this wonderful couple. We loved working with you and hope you enjoy your photos.

Ashley had her makeup done at Elea Blake and her hair at STYLEbar. Both are fabulous places that we love to shoot at!

They had their First Look at the Chattanoogan…so pretty!

Lacie and Chris’ wedding was pure delight! We loved being at Camp Dixie, especially on a day as beautiful as it was. Lacie did an amazing job with the decorations. I loved the mason jars and flowers…everything was beautiful and it had a wonderful mixture of rustic and elegant.

Lacie was a beautiful bride and Chris was one happy groom! This day was full of beauty and smiles…we hope you enjoy their photos!

What was the most memorable moment about your wedding day?
Chris: the first time i saw Lacie in her dress
Lacie: getting to hold Chris’ hand before the wedding and get rid of all the butterflies

How did you decide on your dress?
I knew i wanted lace so we went from there and my mom and maid of honor convinced me that Chris would love the dress i choose. :)

What are the 3 words you would use to describe your day?
Chris: exciting, stressful-slightly, fulfilling
Lacie: gorgeous, perfect, relaxed

What was your favorite detail of the wedding?
Chris: fireworks!
Lacie: the hanging garden lights

What is next for you as a couple? What are you looking forward to in the future?
Chris: Babies :)
