I had such a great time photographing Ashley and Matthew. We met at a creek in Ringgold and enjoyed some gorgeous weather during this rainy winter. The sun was shining on this sweet couple who have a special bond. They have been together a long time and were so comfortable around each other, yet so obviously in love and ready to get married.
We then ventured over to the downtown area, and got some great shots of them with their shadows.
We are so happy to be a part of Ashley and Matthew’s big day and look forward to it soon! Thanks guys for a fun photo shoot, we can’t wait for the wedding.
How did you meet?
Matthew and I met at church. I met him as a member of our church youth group. We enjoyed our time growing up together. He always was the guy that always made me laugh.

Anything special you’d like to share about dating?
Dating is such a scary thing. Matthew and I were friends for a long while before we considered dating. I think that we have both learned to listen to one another. Matthew and I enjoy the time that we have with one another, and always take time to have some fun. Laughter is never a bad thing.
Describe your proposal.
Matthew is a sneaky little guy. I told Matthew that I wanted to go hiking. It’s something that we enjoy doing together, and we hadn’t been in a while. After work Matthew told me to get ready, we were going hiking. At our favorite spot in Cloudland Canyon, he asked me to look at the view. As I turned around, he was there on one knee with the ring in his hand. I was a surprised and happy lady.
What is your ring like?
Beautiful, beyond expectations. It is an antique style cushion cut stone in a white gold setting.

How would you describe the way you feel about each other?
Matthew is everything that I am not. He challenges me everyday to be a better person. We enjoy each moment we get to spend with one another. I could not imagine not having him in my life. He is the one person that completes me in every way.
Do you have any special plans for your wedding that you’d like to share?
We are having an intimate celebration with family and friends at Second Presbyterian Church in downtown Chattanooga on May 7, 2011.
